Was Terry Pratchett a Christian apologist

()

...or just a more consistent atheist?

Take the universe and grind it down to the finest powder and sieve it through with the finest sieve and then show me one atom of justice, one molecule of mercy. And yet you act as if there were some sort of rightness in the universe by which it may be judged.

-Death

-as written by Terry Pratchett, “Hogfather”

He said a mouthful through the thin, skeletal grin of "Death" in Hogfather for, once you do away with an absolute, transcendent, uncaused prescriber of "ought" then you've done away with any measure by which to define "right".

Yes, I know that I'm bringing up a subject I tackled already here, but you can't blame me for quoting someone who so obviously agrees with me. :) I'm planning on posting a few more Discworld quotes that I find interesting over the next few weeks. Hopefully, it'll be a way of sprinkling some fun into our heady subject matter.

Be blessed...
