Faith Well Grounded

I am a corporate computer geek, father, husband and masters student of Biblical Studies and Apologetics. I have a passion for speaking about God and studying existence as we know it. It is incredible how things seem to work as I study-- the more I look, the more I reason, the more I apply critical thinking to the critical subjects of my life, the more reasonable and logical God is as an answer to everything. As science searches so desperately for the "Theory of Everything", which will tie all four forces of the universe into a simple package, I see that their pursuit is in vain until they realize the one true, infinitely complex God which is the power that upholds the Universe (Hebrews 1:3).

It should be noted here that, despite some appearances in my posts, I am neither hostile toward science, nor do I try to debunk it. I value the impact science has had on our world. I will, however, call fuzzy science into question. I will try to recognize and name non-science being passed off as science. Science is the process of observation, testing and reporting. Scientific methodology is testable and predictive in nature. If you can't test it, or it makes no predictions, then it is little more than metaphysics or philosophy. And that's not bad! These disciplines have furthered society in their own ways. Just don't put on a lab coat and sell it as science.

I was raised Christian, turned skeptic, and in searching for truth, found God again in a much more intimate and powerful way. If you are searching for truth, I would invite you to do your best in discarding the presuppositions which we all have, and truly search for truth. He will make Himself known.
